Tanzanian High Commission presentation on Development & Education
Education for All attend the Tanzanian High Commission presentation on Development & Education.
The presentation, hosted by Her Excellency, High Commissioner Mwanaidi Sinare Maajar and REPOA, a Tanzanian think-tank for development, focused upon the current education developments in the country.
Her Excellency stated her committment to working with Education for All to supply resources to Amani Primary School in Dar Es Salaam.
More than 40 representatives of Non Government Organisations (NGOs) with an interest in development of education in Tanzanian attended a presentation by Ms. Valerie Leach of Research on Poverty Alleviation (REPOA).
The presentation, which took place at the Tanzania High Commission (Tanzania House) in London on Friday, 24th October 2008 is one of a series of presentations organised by the Diplomatic Mission to mobilize various stake holders’ plans for the country’s development.
The three hour presentation focused on Education, mainly Primary and Secondary, with reference to Tanzania’s Development Strategies - Vision 2025 and MKUKUTA (Growth and Poverty Reduction Program). The NGOs represented were from Tanzania and their counterparts based in London.
