What We Do

"Tell me, I'll forget. Show me, I'll remember. Involve me, I'll understand" Chinese Proverb

Taking the dual premises of promoting life-long learning and the need to protect our environment, Education for All Trust (EfA) aims to nurture a sense of accountability and improve education in our local UK communities and on a global scale.

Handling Resources Responsibly

All for Education Ltd is the wholly owned commercial arm of EfA that takes unwanted learning resources, furniture and equipment from old schools, carefully managing and redistributing every element to limit wastage, where possible re-using and recycling materials to maximise landfill diversion.

In the process, All for Education Ltd aims to provide educational opportunities by:

  • Giving employment to those who need it most.
  • Effectively using the resources from salvaged materials where they are most needed.
  • Forging global links between individuals, companies and communities to see new education projects prosper and grow.

Education for All is faithfully committed to changing the perception and reality of education provision in the third world, the developing world and the developed world.

Specifically our targets include:

  • To divert more than 90% of unwanted school furniture and equipment from landfill.
  • To provide practical and sustainable solutions to new school projects by clearing unwanted furniture and equipment from buildings.
  • To re-furbish and re-distribute quality items to be re-used by under-privileged school communities in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.
  • To re-cycle dismantled furniture into base constituent parts namely wood, metal, plastic, paper and cardboard.
  • To minimise carbon emissions in all these processes.
Storage Facilities

All for Education utilises its own extensive Corby-based storage facilities to

  • To re-cycle dismantled furniture
  • To hold disaster recovery stock for LEA
  • To accommodate LEA viewing of stock for potential re-use in the UK prior to dispatch overseas.

All for Education allows the Partners of EfA to operate efficiently, with the protection of good business practice and contractual legislation to release surplus funds from the effective management of recycling and waste disposal, to fulfil the charity's objects.
